TAPTOCLIQ (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides NFC-enabled digital business cards, digital profiles, and related services, including Restaurant and Corporate solutions, at taptocliq.com. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how it is handled, in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation.
1. Information We Collect
We collect different data depending on how you use TAPTOCLIQ:
- Account & order data: name, email address, phone number, billing address, and payment status, collected when you purchase a card, subscription, or renewal.
- Profile data: if you own a TAPTOCLIQ card, the name, headline, bio, company, photos, social links, and custom links you choose to add to your public digital profile.
- Visitor / lead data: if a card owner enables Lead Capture, we collect the name and phone number that a visitor submits before viewing that profile, and store it against the card owner’s account so they can follow up.
- Restaurant order data: for the Restaurant Solution, we process the items and quantities a diner selects when placing a table order; no payment card data is collected through this feature.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and basic usage data, collected automatically for security and to keep the service running reliably.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account, subscription, and physical card assignment.
- To process orders and payments through our payment partner, Paystack.
- To host and display your public digital profile at the URL you choose.
- To let your profile visitors save your contact details, and, where you have enabled it, to pass their own name and phone number to you as a lead.
- To send order confirmations, renewal reminders, and account-related emails.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
3. Payment Information
All card and bank transfer payments are processed directly by Paystack, our licensed third-party payment processor. TAPTOCLIQ does not receive, store, or have access to your full card number, CVV, or banking credentials at any point — these are handled entirely within Paystack’s secure environment.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:
- Paystack, to process payments.
- Our hosting and email delivery providers, solely to operate the website and deliver transactional emails.
- Law enforcement or regulators, where we are legally required to do so.
If you are a Corporate Solution employee or Restaurant Solution diner, your relevant data (e.g. employee profile fields, or a table order) is also visible to the business account owner who added you or operates that restaurant, since that is the purpose of the feature.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in, remember your shopping cart, and remember if you have already submitted your details to a Lead Capture form so you are not asked again. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
6. Data Retention
We retain account and order data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. Public profile content is retained until you edit or delete it, or your subscription lapses and is not renewed.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or withdraw consent for optional features such as Lead Capture, at any time by emailing us at support@taptocliq.com. You can also update most profile information directly from your dashboard.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we take these obligations seriously.
9. Children
TAPTOCLIQ is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date above.
