What is an NFC card and how does it work?
NFC stands for Near Field Communication, the same technology used in contactless payments. Your TAPTOCLIQ card contains a tiny chip that, when tapped against a modern smartphone, automatically opens your digital profile in the phone’s browser. No app download required.
Do I need an app to use TAPTOCLIQ?
No. The people receiving your card do not need any app, your profile opens directly in their browser when they tap your card or scan your QR code. You manage your own profile through our website dashboard, which works on any device.
Can I update my profile after my card is printed?
Yes, that is one of the most powerful features of TAPTOCLIQ. Your card links to your profile, not a fixed page. Update your phone number, job title, social links, or anything else at any time, and the change is live immediately. Everyone who taps your card always sees the latest version.
How does the Save Contact feature work?
Every TAPTOCLIQ profile has a “Save Contact” button. When tapped, it downloads a vCard (.vcf) file containing your name, phone, email, company, and other details. The phone automatically prompts the user to save this as a new contact, it works on both iPhone and Android.
What happens to my profile if my subscription expires?
If your subscription expires, your public profile is temporarily hidden. However, all your data, profile information, photos, custom links, is fully preserved. The moment you renew, everything is restored instantly. Your card number and QR code never change, so your physical card continues to work as soon as you renew.
How do I download my QR code?
Your QR code is automatically generated when you create your profile. Visit the QR Code section of your dashboard to preview it and download in PNG (for digital use) or SVG (for print). You can regenerate the QR code at any time without affecting your card’s permanent URL.
Which card type should I choose?
All three card types, White PVC, Black PVC, and Bamboo, work identically. The difference is purely aesthetic. White PVC suits a clean, professional look. Black PVC is bold and modern. Bamboo is our premium, eco-conscious option that makes a strong statement. All are NFC-enabled and linked to your same profile.
Can organisations set up cards for an entire team?
Yes. Organisations can order multiple cards and each team member gets their own individual TAPTOCLIQ profile. Each card is assigned to one user and links to that person’s specific digital profile. Contact us for team and corporate pricing.
